The best camera is the one you have with you.
EJAlbum, in partnership with DokuTIFF and with the support of the European University of Tirana, organised, during the days of Tirana Open, an exhibition with 6 Albanian photographers, as well as a "Lectio Magistralis" style meeting on the theme "The best camera is the one you have with you."

The first of a cycle, as always in our tradition, these meetings will bring together several professional Albanian photographers who embrace the idea that for good photography, it makes no difference at all what technique the photographer used, but rather what idea or message lies behind them.
So, we seek to set a milestone at the point where folk art meets photography.
Photographs can be born from any tool that technically allows the creation of an image, even from a smartphone, but good photography is always measured by the fulfilment of its purpose. Beyond technique.

The artists who exhibited some of their works were: Adnan Beci, Armand Habazaj, Armand Sallabanda, Blerta Kambo, Bevis Fusha and Olta Bello. This exhibition was curated by Assoc. Prof. Albes Fusha. The meeting was led by EJAlbum's administrator, Elton Koritari, and artist Alban Hajdinaj, and had a rather broad turnout and a rather warm reception from the public. We take this opportunity to also thank Vasken Spiru, Agron Domi, Andi Vercani and our staff for the organisation. We also thank photographer Andis Rado for the event's official photographs.

The exhibition remained open throughout all the DokuTIFF documentary screenings, from 11 to 15 May 2015. A slide of the exhibited photos was also previewed during the DokuTIFF documentaries screened outside the TEN centre. After it closed, the exhibition's photos were displayed permanently on the premises of UET. At the conclusion of the exhibition's opening, a round table was also organised among the participants, on the same theme.
These are some of the official photos of the exhibition and the event:
