Photography Course 2017
During the months of April – June 2017, at the premises of the Turkish "Yunus Emre" Institute of Culture in Tirana, the photography course was held — by now a rather good tradition of collaboration between EJAlbum and the Institute in question, transformed over the years into an important event on photography in Albania. 25 participants registered, beyond other expressions of interest. As almost always, the quality of the course's participants was rather high, and the tradition continues of students who come to get to know the art of photography and deepen their understanding of it, without necessarily intending to start a professional career in it afterward.
The course, like those before it, had a nature that combined theory and practice. More than 32 hours of theory and practice were held on the Institute's premises, including 2 hours in a genuine professional studio, over 6 hours of practice in Tirana, plus a full day on a photo safari outside Tirana, in the historic city of Kruja. Notably, some lectures were given by rather well-known professionals in Albania; for example, the lecture on "Working with a Project" was given by photographer Roland Tasho, and the rather important lecture, "Post-Production in Photography," was given by Albes Fusha, Professor at the Academy of Arts. For the practice hours and some of the theoretical hours, we worked with a group made up of several other professionals, themselves also clients and friends of EJAlbum: photographers Ergys Zhabjaku, Andis Rado, Elvin Shytaj, etc. The students also had meetings with other professional photographers during the course, and this is one of this project's strongest points. We also thank other photographers who have been present at lectures in previous courses, such as Bledar Hasimi, Vlasov Sulaj, etc. Not forgetting the special contribution to its founding made by photographer Olsi Qazimi. Don't miss the next course.
