Writing with Light

Today, on World Photography Day, we want to greet you with a calendar of artistic events in which we are engaged with our partners, based precisely on our mission of dedicating ourselves, in every direction, to Albanian photography, for 15 years now, since we began. In fact, our mission is to build in Albania a well-informed and globalised scene and market in the art and communications sector, starting precisely from photography. It will be an unforgettable end of August and September for those passionate about this art, and specifically:

We want to start with #PRESSURA – our nomadic art colony dedicated to Social Photography. As we are building the first exhibition dedicated to social photography in Albania, you can follow our artists on their journey here: http://www.instagram.com/a_nomadic_art_colony/

This is the birth year of the “Fotoist – International Photography Festival”. We invite you all to Pristina, Kosovo, from 25 to 28 August 2023, for an extraordinary programme of exhibitions, meetings, workshops and events, all centred on photography. September opens this year with the Tirana Photo Festival, the most passionate photography festival in Albania. The awards ceremony will be held at the Lake Amphitheatre on 12 September 2023; the exhibition will open at Tirana's Lake Park grounds from 9 to 16 September. You are still in time to apply with your photo to the “On the Move” competition, until 25 August 2023. Apply here: https://tiranaphotofestival.com/

September closes with the “Fokus Award – International Photography Festival”, which this year reaches its 14th edition with the theme “Have Things Changed?”. Fokus Award has by now naturally become the expression of the best artistic and authorial photography in the region, and this year it has an extraordinary programme of events, starting on 18 September 2023 in Tirana and running through 22 September 2023 in Fier, at the solemn awards ceremony.
