U.F.O – Unidentified False Objects

UFO is a site-specific artistic intervention at the Pyramid of Tirana, one of the most iconic spaces in the Albanian capital. Ardian Isufi's research starts from acute questions that put geo-cultural spaces, territory, historical heritage and the changes in the urban landscape into question — a landscape that today stands suspended between utopia and dystopia.

“U.F.O.” is a conceptual scaffolding, evolving in location, content and form, bringing together in the exhibition a combination of works in media such as video, installation, interventions in space and other ideas. In this case, “U.F.O.” is also an artistic journey, a nomadic experience where the wandering, performative nature of the works has a distinctly contemporary matrix. This artistic intervention beside the ‘GOCAT’ Gallery is thus visibly a macro-scale re-proposal of the greatest failed utopias of the “short century” — ideologies that promised humanity its most impossible dreams, based on collective experiments carried out on a mass scale, across the whole world.
