When the Globe is Home

We are all isolated at home or in our studios right now, and it has never been more important than today not to feel alone. We are a community, we are all creators, and although being an artist today is very difficult, it is nonetheless special. This is in fact another occasion for people to understand even better the value of art, because it is precisely the images, sounds and feelings created by artists that have become the background of the lives of people isolated everywhere around the world. Imago Mundi has always aimed to show the state of art and artists all over the world, starting always from the artists themselves, and only from them. So, friends, today we want to do the same thing again.
Due to the pandemic situation, Imago Mundi's exhibitions around the world and our museum in Treviso are closed. For this reason, we want to propose something else to you today, something very simple, even fun. We want you to keep showing us your world even under conditions of isolation. With this material we will prepare posts which we will publish on our website and on our social networks. So we will continue to show the state of art and artists as always, from you yourselves.
The project is called:
THE ARTIST'S HOME – WHEN THE GLOBE IS HOME
Description:
Every week we will enter the home or studio of an artist from around the world. This way, through a series of posts and stories, we will all learn how these intimate spaces stimulate inspiration, research and artistic production.
Instructions for artists:
To build the posts, we need three photos from each artist for our social media. Naturally we don't ask for professional photography. Phone images are more than enough!
1) Portrait / selfie inside your home / studio. Tell us who you are in one sentence.
2) A view from your window. Where are you located during this period?
3) A photo of what you are currently working on. It could be a detail of an artwork, a screenshot, etc. Also tell us what it is in one short sentence.
Optional: you can add one to three images or videos of whatever you think is important to you. (your favourite spot in your home or studio. Things that inspire you, such as books, photographs, paintings, sculptures or household objects? Do you have a pet?)
We would be happy to have posts from Albanian artists too, just as we will have from artists around the world.
