I always thought that traditional costumes are among the most valuable assets Albania has inherited over the centuries. Personally, i’ve always been touched by the keen interest of visiting Europeans towards  this very specific aspect of Albanian national identity.
As Edith Durham once put it, it is difficult to escape the majesty of the Albanian dress.
