About Maksim Bushi
Born in Lushnje in 1948, he attended the Art High School in Tirana in 1967 and graduated in Sculpture from the Academy of Fine Arts in Tirana, in 1972. He has been working as a teacher of drawing and sculpture at the Art High School in Tirana. He has many sculptures and terracotta works at the National Gallery of Arts and has won many national prizes. In his work for Imago Mundi he expresses a tragicomic conception through the brain’s form and wrinkles kept in a formalin jar. Biological matter of rational reasoning and metallic coldness of the destruction act as “paradoxical harmony”.
