AE Academy Albania Special Edition 2013

Another fantastic experience from EJAlbum in collaboration with Album Epoca: AE Academy Albania – Special Edition. Two packed and extraordinary days in which over 60 Albanian photographers — owners of some of the best studios in Albania, but also freelance photographers, and some photographers from Kosovo and Montenegro too — shared, together with the speakers and organisers of this programme, a formative and inspiring experience. This brings the number of Albanian photographers who have taken part in one of our academies to over 100; we recall here the participation, so far, of many Albanian photographers in AE Academy Italia.

The first day was organised as a photography tour and practical workshop under the guidance of the well-known Italian photographer known as Flavio Bandiera. Apollonia, a UNESCO-protected site, as well as the Durrës coastline, were the setting for this rather long and tiring, but rather interesting and fruitful day in terms of the didactic programme, which, as we recall, is part of an international programme initiated and developed by Album Epoca around the world. So we started the day with a trip to Apollonia all together, and closed it late in the evening at the Tropikal Resort complex.

The second day, according to the programme, contained lectures in a hall and took place entirely on the premises of Xheko Imperial, Tirana. That day's speakers were Flavio Bandiera, with a lecture on post-production and portfolio review, followed by marketing lectures from Federico Casini, AE's brand manager with 20 years of experience in the sector, as well as motivational lectures from Francesco Petrilli, another well-known name in the photography sector, and Julinda Mbrica, psychologist, EJAlbum PR.

EJAlbum thanks all the collaborators without whom such an experience would have been impossible to carry out: Flavio Bandiera, Francesco Petrilli, Federico Casini, Julinda Mbrica, Elena Silvi Marchini, Fresida Koritari, Vasken Spiru, Geraldina Sposa, Artur Muca, Elton Koritari, Elvis Dako. We also thank for their contribution: Bledar Hasimi, Artemis Hajdini, Olsi Beci, and the staff of Xheko Imperial and Tropikal Resort. We also thank all the participants, our photographers, who as always were wonderful. See you at the next event.

Here are some photos from these wonderful days, and we invite you to stay connected for the next event, which we are preparing shortly.
