“One of the main differences between perfect and ordinary photography is the access to light. The battle of every photographer begins with “subduing” the light in favor of a perfect shot. No other element in a photograph belongs to photographer except the light with which he expresses his emotions focusing through the lens. Light is what reveals the particular, the divine, presenting the mystery of the invisible and the fragile in a visual presentation. This is why the “Fokus” Photo Contest, in its 9thedition, arrives with the theme: Duel with Light”– comes with this approach this edition of an art event which is already a beautiful and unique tradition of Albanian photography, which this year marks its 9th edition.
