About Silvana Nini
Born in 1969 in Tirana, she graduated in Fabric Painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Tirana in 1991. She is a PhD candidate in History-Philology, Department of Archaeology and Cultural Heritage since 2011. She lives and works in Tirana. In order to evaluate the communicating function of decoration through symbols and content, which is waning out in today’s clothes, the artist puts into canvas a piece of decoration of the Catholic Shkodra woman called “Japanxha”.
