Family Art Guides presents “Tirana Castles” for the city’s schools

Tirana Castles and Fortresses – Presentation event for the city’s schools
13 April 2024 | Artificial Lake Park
Following the public presentations of the “Tirana Castles and Fortresses – A Guide for Children and Young People” (Tirana Castles) project, Family Art Guides organised a series of presentation events dedicated to students of the capital's public and private schools, bringing the project closer to the education community.
The activities took place in collaboration with APR, in some of the city's most frequented spaces — in the Great Lake Park and in the schools' own premises — creating opportunities for children to get to know the guides in an open, interactive and educational setting.
This educational project, carried out in collaboration with the Municipality of Tirana, aims to promote art guides as concrete tools for highlighting and better understanding Albania's material and immaterial heritage. Through illustrations, information structured by age group, and practical elements, the students got to know the history of Tirana's castles and their importance to the city's cultural identity.
During these presentations, the children took part in creative activities, discussions and orientation exercises, using the guide as a tool for exploration. The approach aimed to build a more direct relationship between the students and historical spaces, turning heritage into a tangible and understandable experience.

This cycle of events marks an important phase of the project, integrating it into the city's school life and strengthening cooperation between cultural and educational institutions, in the service of educating and raising awareness among the younger generation.
