Fraktura – as an artistic intervention and public meeting – was born as an alternative movement with the aim that the public would have an active participation and in fact, the success of Fraktura lies precisely in this engagement of the public in an active role and in the invitation to wide interest groups around the heritage of the project, which is closely related to the fate of the infamous former prison of Spaç.

All together, we initiated a challenge with the Fraktura project by inviting informal groups to concrete parallel projects, which in different ways treat Collective Memory and Space as a subject to build alternative narratives of what has been done with these issue up to this point.

The event of May 27, 2023, is thus born in the framework of the realization of the documentary Fraktura and the catalog of the exhibition, but seeks to do something more – to engage these cells of the community created around the artistic intervention in Spaç and motivate it to continue in this journey. Some of them even have the opportunity to appear and be discussed right in Spaç.
