About Ardian Isufi
Born in 1973 in Tirana, he graduated in Graphic from the Academy of Fine Arts in Tirana, in 1995. Ardian Isufi is currently leading the Department of Graphic, in the Academy of Fine Arts in Tirana. A number of solo exhibitions during 2002-2005 investigate the artistic flickering related to the human body. While surrounded by absurd realities, the artistic reflections emphasize the pressure put on the individual. At the same time, the air has become complicated from a social and socio-ecological point of view. His Imago Mundi work is inspired by the city of Kavaja, Albania. There one sees many water tanks on the top of towers that coexist with many towers of belief (minarets). The specific minaret in his work is a former glass factory of communism. This is a “visual —discussion” between these two vertical structures.
