Shadow in Green

About Idlir Koka

“The shadow in green is an idea, a mission, a small or big dream limited inside a 10×12 cm canvas. The shadow of a plane that runs on a green field by the sea. This shadow detects the presence of a moving vehicle by which we can tell if it is a tourist trip or an exodus”. That’s how Idlir Koka describes his work. Born in 1979 in Tirana and graduated in Graphic Painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Tirana, since his degree Koka has participated in a long number of exhibitions. His career also includes other experiences as a guest lecturer at the Academy of Fine Arts, Associate at the National Gallery of Arts and the work in the field of advertising, —set design, etc.
