About Jorgji Gjikopulli

Born in Tirana in 1939, he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Tirana, in 1969. His career includes working as a guide to the National Gallery of Arts, Tirana, a supervisor for the National Committee of Culture and Arts, and a Professor and Head    Department at the Academy of Fine Arts in Tirana. He was triple winner of third prize of national art competitions, winner of the “Naim Frashëri” award. 12 works of the artist are part of the fund of the National Gallery of Arts, Tirana, while many others belong to private collections in France, Greece, Turkey, Bulgaria, United Kingdom, USA, and Algeria.
