About Lumturi Blloshmi

Born in Tirana in 1944, she graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Tirana, in 1968. The artist is a universe that is constantly changing over the decades. Her works – that almost always come in series – are powerful whirlpools of energy, be it an “en plein air” painting, a symbolic composition, photography, a collage or a performance. Her works shape a thought that extends beyond borders of the reality, including cases when it is inspired by everyday banality. This constant metamorphosis of her artistic development and the ongoing search for herself as related to art, have made the artist a medium with a well-established metaphysical position inside and outside the system.
