About Olta Bello

Born in 1986 in Tirana, in 2005 she graduated from the “Jordan Misja” Art High School in Tirana, specialized in Art and Scenography. In 2009 she graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Tirana, Department of Scenography and Costumes. In    2013 she received a PhD Degree in Ethnology from the Center of Albanology Studies of Tirana. Inspired by the poem that took Gjergj Fishta so long to write (from 1914 to 1940), her work “Jerina” encompasses melodramas as seen through Albanian eyes. It praises the beauty and love in the Albanian world. In a contest of beauty, Jerina wins over all flowers of the world – she is the —Albanian girl – and is announced queen of flowers.
