About Oltsen Gripshi
“To create this artwork, I was inspired by a sad and ill-fated springof 1997. It is an installation in fabric, and pays tribute to the tragedy,pain and tears of blood of Albanian mothers, who lost everythingin that piece of apocalyptic story of Post-Communism in Albania.The work is presented through a surreal conceptual code thatartistically perpetuates a tragedy that involved as all as livingsacrifices. That is why the work is entitled “Kurban MCMXCVII”.
