JOIN THE DOTS –Imago Mundi in Trieste

JOIN THE DOTS – Thanks to Imago Mundi, 163 Albanian artists exhibit together with artists from 40 Mediterranean countries. “Join the Dots” is an exhibition of 40 art collections, an invitation to join the dots by following the red thread that joins them. The city of Trieste has always been a hub for ideas and commerce, in our case transforming into the starting point of an itinerary between land and sea, taking us from the shores of the North Sea to the legendary Baghdad to sunny Morocco by the steps of the Danube and the Baltic beaches in the Negev Desert.

All thanks to the kaleidoscope of images provided by the works of over 6,300 artists. In addition, Join the Dots is a series of meetings and events that will animate the summer in Trieste, with a dense calendar of activities.

Albania is naturally there: Imago Mundi Knots opens the exhibition with 163 Albanian artists who exhibit together, becoming one of those points that connect Albanian art to the rest of the world. This is the number of times that Albanian artists exhibit their work around the world thanks to the Imago Mundi project.

The Albanian collection, called Knots / Nodes, contains works by these artists:

“Albania / Knots – 163 Contemporary Artists from Albania” summarizes in a very prestigious publication the Albanian artists. Project Manager of the whole project Imago Mundi in Albania is Elton Koritari and the collection is curated by Elton Koritari, Albes Fusha, Alban Hajdinaj. The whole project has been implemented in Albania by EJAlbum. The next exhibition in Trieste was opened to the public by Mr. Luciano Benetton and many personalities of Italian art and culture and beyond. We recall that Mr. Benetton holds a Honoris Causa degree awarded by the University of the Arts Tirana in a very beautiful and memorable ceremony for the Albanian art scene. Furthermore, the project has created a wide database of Albanian artists all over the world and a way of promoting and connecting the Albanian artistic scene with the world one. The Albanian collection will continue its journey through museums and art galleries around the world after the closing of this exhibition.
