Moikom Zeqo

About Moikom Zeqo

Born in 1949 in Durrës, he graduated in Philology and Literature from the University of Tirana in 1971. He later graduated in History and Archaeology and completed post-graduate studies in Rome, Athens and Washington DC in Bysantology. He worked as a literary editor in “Drita” magazine, archaeologist and expert of ancient art at the Academy of Sciences. He has been Minister of Culture, member of Parliament and for many years Director of the National History Museum. He holds a PhD and was awarded the title of Grand Master.

He is the author of 62 books of poetry, archaeological studies, history of art, and a number of TV and cinema movie scripts, and author of five solo exhibitions in Tirana in graphics and painting.
