Sadik Spahija

About Sadik Spahija

Born in 1959 in Shkodra, he studied in the School of Visual Arts in the ’80s and in the atelier of sculptors Th. Thomai and K. Krisiko. Always in search of contemporary expressive means, he has already deepened his artistic search through installation, always working in ceramics. He lives and works in Tirana, where he currently runs the Department of Sculpture and Ceramic at the University of Arts, after serving also as a dean in this institution earlier.

Author of many public works placed in many cities of Albania, such as the 2 April Memorial in Shkodra, and the monument dedicated to the poets Vilson Blloshmi and Genc Leka, convicted by the communist dictatorship, in Librazh.
